- im a musician been playing my whole life, over the years i have worked for leo fender, george fullerton, building electric guitars, started out in the wood shop making bodys, went on to final assembly , final set up. and final testing, worked with leo fender in the design of new pickups, and field tested prototypes in the field, i have played guitar or bass in alot of name bands in the LA area, and orange county areas, and was contracted to magic wizard recording studio in buena park ca, in the mid 80s. i am now living in comstock park mi.i have a rock band called BAD INOCENNCE who i play with, guitar, keyboards, vocals, and harmonica. been with a fine bunch of musicians for over three years.i also have a 24 track digital recording studio that i record new music that i have written.

hey all you meatheads out there wasssssssssssss up tonights rant is gonna be about all these assholes that cant take care of there pets, they all go out and buy animals, and then after a while they get bored with them and neglect them, take for instance, some shit head goes out and gets a dog, the owner or master our shit head person doesnt spend anytime with the animal, so the animal does not learn anything, the owner gets frustrated, and decides to chain the poor creature outside, now what kind of life is this for any living thing, the poor animal gets no attention, sits outside in the freezing temp, has some kind of makeshift shelter, and is alone 24 hours a day, cause there dumb human doesnt give a shit, well ill tell you my freinds, an animal has just as much right to a decent life as you are me, and when these assholes, dont take care for there animals it pisses me off, ive got an idea, why dont we reverse the roles, lets put these shithead animal abusers, and put them on a chain, keep them out in the cold and treat them like shit..... and what about the cows, the chickens, and the fish, dont they have a right to a life ? and how about these fuckers that take there animals for a ride and dump them somewhere, this to me is the worst person in the world man oh man......................................................

ReplyDeletehad a great night at tailgaters friday night, the owner booked us for the next three months, were so tired of playing those fuckin meth bars, way out in the sticks, were half the women in the bar are toothless, with a beer in one hand and a cig. hanging out of there mouth, not to mention the long drives.the ideal gig is here right in town about 5 miles from my house, the band is really starting to take off , the overall sound is alot better, weve added some new pa gear, and that helps, i want to thank all the people who come out and see me play, week after week, my wife and my sons and there girlfreinds, im still plugging away at it after all these years, but still love what im doing, were gonna move the band over to are drummers house next week and have rehersals there, much more room to work, also ive got some original material that were gonna work on, so other than that , oh yea im so glad they put a smoking ban in the state of michigan, i dont have to breath that shit, and my guitars and amps dont smell like a ashtray. now that molely grandholm is out of office, you can look back at what she did, and i cant think of anything, except the no smoking in public places ban, well off to the grocery store..

hey all you crazys, wassssssssssssssup well as of yesturday are bass player decided that he had had enough and quit, said that he didnt like the jamming and improvising in songs, after 3 years he comes to this conclussion, but thats alright we already have a replacement for him, in fact the day he quit, the very next day are new guy was aboard. playing classic rock in bars and clubs and if you have been doing it as long as i have can get pretty boring, so sometimes you have to go outside the pocket, take a chance or a risk, and then try to find your way back into the structure of the song, well this guy didnt like this kind of playing, because maybe he didnt feel he could keep up, or whatever, but i guess thats water under the bridge, at 58 years old ive seen to many people and to many bands, and every band i have been in theres always an asshole, just like where you live, you could have the best neighbors next to you but two doors down, there they are mr. and mrs. prick thank god they banned smoking in clubs thats one good thing, anyway its been a shitty week and my situation is that i think this will be the last band that i work with ive been doing this all my life and im starting to feel it, so this new lineup, will move forward, but after this i might just want to put the guitars in a rest home...... any way we start new rehersals next week with are new bass player , gonna learn some new songs, and go with different management, a new website will be up and running soon... stay tuned.

ReplyDeletewell here we go again, this has been a shit week, on wednesday the bass player in my band quit, and so did his wife our manager, after playing together for over three years, he decides that me and our new drummer are improvising too much in the middle of songs, and it is throwing him off, now this kirk decides this after playing these same songs over and over again, so to keep from getting bored ill throw an extended solo or spiff up the song with different stuff, just to keep it interesting, now in the mean time ive been putting up with his foul mouth wife brow beating everyone in person and in her E mails to band members, i just agreed with everything miss loud mouth has to say, just to keep the piece so mr. moodie decides to quit the band , so be it, we were tired of his BS anyway, so i thanked miss manager for treating band members like little children , and mr bass player doesnt like it, so guess what, have a great life you to deserve each other... now i have been in bands going on 30 years and theres always friction, but this last episode really takes the cake, well like i said ive got a little left in me and then it time to hang it up and learn how to play chess......... or maybe just sit around and vegitate. yes this i the same rant from the other night, i though i would add a few more thoughts.

ReplyDeletelast week sucked had a big blow out with a few band members, and are manager, so they quit, we audition a new bass player wednesday and we will see how that all goes, hope everything works out or i think im gonna retire im sick of all the bullshit, and drama, i think im gonna go back to playing original music and recording , im pretty well burned out.......well see...... have a great week.......

ReplyDeleteNAMM was a blast this year. Got to see Kings X do a set in the Ampeg room, they blew the place out!
Leslie West was supposed to be at the Dean booth for autographs on Saturday, but I can only handle so much NAMM, didn't make it.
You should try posting each entry as a new topic, so all the posts aren't stuck inside the original one. Not sure how this blog stuff works, but...
fuck i wish i could have been there at namm, but due to a financial meltdown, it aint gonna happen, wjth my dads health i never know when im gonna have to fly out and be with him, so i have to keep a couple of hundred stashed away, it really sucks to be my age and be fuckin broke as hell, but theres two ways to look at it, you can stash your money and save save save , and be a cheap asshole, and then die and have all that money sitting in the bank for someone else... or you can be a fool like me and spend every last dime, you got and have fun with it, its a catch twenty two, you either save all your life and enjoy the fruits of your labor,or you die with all that money,,, or like me you spend it all and at the end of the day your still walking the face of the earth,,, win loose, win loose, i guess it dont really matter cause when you gert my age, somethings gonna get me,,, welcome to life,

i got a great idea, wouldnt it be great if you knew when you were gonna say bye bye to this world, and you go on a mission, to get as many speeding tickets as you can, rack up a shitload of parking tickets, run up all your charge cards, dont make your house payment, dont pay your income taxes and then really get in hot water with the IRS, and keep doing this over and over, dont pay nothing. and then you spend every last penny you have , give all your stuff away to charity , and by the time your ready to check out , you have nothing but what you came into the world to begin with. o h i forgot you might have a diaper on , the last indignity in life... wow what a concept.... just a thought...

ReplyDeletewell its been awhile since ive been on this site, had alot of health issues, among other shit, as you know my band broke up due to some silly bullshit, why cant people just get along, you think certain people are your freinds, and you think you know them and then these assholes turn around and stab you in thew back, same thing in bands, and its really funny when the band members wifes get in the middle of band business, well id about had enough , so after 3 years in clubs with these guys its all over, About three weeks ago i got a call from the american federation of musicians union, and a band with a full on horn section needed a guitar player, so i went and auditioned for the job, guess what they hired me a day later, now this is a 9 member band so i start going to rehersals, and the vibe just wasnt there , these guys were a bunch of stuck up old assholes all about my age, the real serious types, no humor, i lasted about two rehersals with these shitheads and couldnt take any more, youd think these guys were tower of power, the way they acted. well this is my situation, ive been doing this since 1974 and im just burned out on all this shit, so ive decided to stop playing music in rock n roll bands, there comes a time when you start looking really out of place in some of these clubs,now , ive got my basement studio, that im working on and im gonna start recording new music... stay tuned
